Emily Baker: ‘All At Sea’

Recorded and nurtured over three days in the ‘Magic Garden Studio’ in Wolverhampton with new friends Gavin Monaghan (who’s worked with Scott Matthews, Robert Plant, Paulo Nutini and Nizlopi…amongst others) and his trusty engineer Joe Murray.

My dear friend, the brilliant Joe Jackson (no not ‘that Joe Jackson’) joins in on Double Bass for a few songs.

But for the most part I am joined by Fiddes Smith on this record. A man with many strings and many frets. A great musician that I am lucky to have found.

‘All At Sea’ is a collection of nine carefully crafted songs which show a new direction for me. I believe it to be a more intimate album, it is recorded live with no click track, no headphones and with minimal overdubs.

For the main part it is just two people sat in a room playing songs together, sometimes it’s just me on my own. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
